Are you currently using ultrasound for your bovine pregnancy checks? If so, can you advise the farmer to expect a bull or a heifer calf? Can you tell the difference between the ultrasound appearance of follicular and luteal cysts? Do you want to be able to estimate the stage of pregnancy more accurately?
If the answer is ‘yes’ to these questions then this is a course for you.
This highly practical day aims to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to get the most out of your bovine ultrasound exams. You will not only learn how to recognise and evaluate structures using ultrasound, but also how to incorporate your findings into the herd management strategy of the farm. This is accomplished through a mixture of lecture sessions, case based discussions and practical on-farm scanning.
