A one-day course aimed at veterinary surgeons now comfortable performing basic abdominal examinations and would now like to learn how to take their skills to the next level. The day will be a mixture of lectures, demonstrations and practical sessions, aiming to give as much hands-on time as possible.
Topics covered will include ultrasonography of the gastrointestinal tract, adrenal glands, pancreas and lymph nodes. An introduction to basic colour flow Doppler use in abdominal imaging will also be included.
Course objectives:
IMV imaging will provide all the necessary ultrasound equipment.
**Please note that because of the difficulty providing animals for scanning, delegates are kindly requested to bring a friendly dog with them for the duration of the day. It is important that the dogs can be clipped as appropriate for a complete abdominal ultrasound exam.**
The day will be informal and relaxed with maximum time for hands-on learning. Arrive for tea and coffee from 8:30am, ready to begin the lecture at 9am. We’ll aim to finish the day by 4.30pm. This will count for 6 hours of CPD. Places are limited to a maximum of 12 delegates so book your place early to avoid disappointment. Course notes, refreshments and lunch will be provided.
