This one-day course is aimed at veterinary surgeons who would like to take their echocardiography skills to the next level. The day will be a mixture of lectures, demonstrations and practical sessions, with the emphasis on having adequate opportunity to practice the more difficult echocardiographic views. Topics covered will include the use of Doppler in echocardiography, optimising the image for echo, indications and techniques for performing left-sided views, and of course practical sessions.
IMV imaging will provide all the necessary ultrasound equipment.
**Please note that because of the difficulty providing animals for scanning, delegates are kindly requested to bring a friendly dog with them for the duration of the day. It is important that the dogs can be clipped as appropriate **
The day will be informal and relaxed with maximum time for hands-on learning.
Arrive for tea and coffee from 9.00am, ready to begin the lecture at 9.30am. We’ll aim to finish the day by 5.30pm. This will count for 6 hours of CPD.
Places are limited to a maximum of 12 delegates so book your place early to avoid disappointment.
Course notes, refreshments and lunch will be provided.
